There are a lot of unaccomplished filmmakers out there, especially in the horror community buying deeply into their own hype. But how often do we have an unassuming filmmaker who has been behind the scenes, helping to craft some of the best indie horror sensations that comes out swinging with their first effort? CJ Wallis is such a filmmaker.

BB is his first feature length film, and even with just the trailer his artistic prowess is clear. Beautifully shot with serious attention to its musicality, the trailer for BB is worth more than the budgets of some full length studio films. Wallis is by his own words a feminist and describes this film as, “pro-lesbian, girl-power with a strong female lead who is self-sufficient.” He adds it also has the hallmarks of a genre pic- some blood, nudity, artsy shots and a cool bad guy.

When watching the trailer, the true tone of the film seems to hit right around 1:03; we make some choices that can lead us down dark paths and into some horrifying situations. We live in the internet age and you can never really be sure who is on the other side of that computer screen.

Wallis plans to bring the film to Cannes; whether it be in competition or just to showcase. This is a project he is bursting at the seams to show the horror community. His intention is to have the finished product out before Spring of 2014. He was a driving force behind some of the projects the horror scene has been raving about for the past few years, and now he gets to show his vision on his own terms.
